WEHA is here to serve the needs of Winchester Estates' homeowners, their families, the neighborhood and community.
WEHA is a non-profit association completely run by volunteers, governed by a board of four, and operating from the annual dues collected from caring homeowners.
Our Goals are to Help Ensure:
- Winchester Estates remains a safe area for our families, friends, visitors, loved ones, and pets
- Winchester Estates remains a clean, attractive, and well-maintained neighborhood and a source of pride for all
- Winchester Estate homes maintain the best possible property value
- Winchester Estates remains a desirable location to relocate
- Winchester Estates maintains a thriving spirit of neighborly friendship and volunteerism for our community needs
Why Do We Need a Homeowners' Association?
In our busy lives, it's easy to overlook the fact that the neighborhood grass is cut, edged, and trimmed, dues are collected each year to fund projects, important information is disseminated, and crime is being thwared right nextdoor to you. We've grown comfortable and expect these things to happen - and it usually does. On the other hand, if these things stopped happening, you can rest assured that you and your neighbors would notice and complain. Our point? This kind of progress can only happen through your participation and support. Other projects you may have overlooked include:
- new community newsletter,
- new meeting announcement signs,
- attractive signs at the entrances,
- maintenance work on the clubhouse, fences, and storm damage,
- neighborhood watch patrols that protect your family and assets,
- collection of dues to over 200 homes, and
- many, many more.
Mostly these projects have been completed by the same few caring volunteers that have faithfully given of their time for years. But as time goes on, these volunteers need a break. They simply cannot sustain the work of supporting 225 homes by themselves - nor should they have to. We need others to step up with a caring volunteer spirit.
