Your Neighborhood Has Many Needs and
Only Very Limited Resources!
Help WEHA help you and your neighbors. Please make an investment in your neighborhood by volunteering for one of our projects. WEHA needs your help on the following projects:
- Clubhouse Restoration
This was called "Clubhouse Maintenance" last year but without any help in 2004, the clubhouse has degraded to the point of restoration. Both homeowners and commercial companies are welcome to assist in the restoration project. The job includes termite damage assessment and control, removing older siding and/or structure and replacing it with new lumber. The clubhouse also has a broken window which needs replacing and could benefit from things like carpeting and other indoor features. WEHA needs both volunteers and a chairman for this committee.Volunteer here.
- Block Captains
WEHA is looking for one block captain for each block in the neighborhood. Responsibilities include speaking with your neighbors and distributing important information. Our first effort will be to distritube and obtain signatures for the "speed hump legislation". Especially if you already walk around the block regularly, please consider helping.Volunteer here.
- Spring Fling Coordination & Assistance
We need a bunch of volunteers to help coordinate and implement the coming Spring Fling day.Volunteer here.
- Welcome Committee
This would be a perfect thing for someone retired or just someone who likes people. Your job would be to welcome new home owners into the neighborhood and provide helpful information to them.Volunteer here.
- Neighborhood Watch
We continue to need help with neighborhood watch activities. WEHA is hopeful that one of our three resident law enforcement officers will chair this effort. If you can help with one drive by, one hour, or one day, please let us know. Security problems in the neighborhood are getting worse, not better. Volunteer here.
